The role of a study and career counselor with us

In Kungsbacka, we have a central guidance to ensure equality in the municipality's study and career guidance.

The guidance is an outreach activity and is conducted in all municipal primary and secondary schools, as well as in adult education and within the labor market area. We are also tasked with offering all residents independent guidance for future career choices.

As a study and career counselor, you will work together with other counselors, coordinators, and the unit manager to develop the work with study and career guidance from a holistic perspective in Kungsbacka municipality. As an employee in the Guidance unit, you may work in different parts of our operations. You will also collaborate with other units within the Competence Center.

Your profile

You are relationship-building and have successful collaboration with your surroundings. You take your own initiatives and view changes positively. We see that you are confident in making your own decisions and prioritizing when the situation requires it. You recognize the importance of working with digital solutions to advance the guidance work. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

has a degree in study and career counseling

It is meritorious if you have:

experience working dynamically and development-oriented in the role of study and career counselor
relevant experience guiding various target groups
can express yourself well in English, both orally and in writing

Our offer and other information

We offer a fixed-term full-time position starting on August 12, 2025, by agreement. The employment extends until December 19, 2025, with a possibility of extension.
